February Courses

Return to Training Course - Obstetrics and Gynaecology - Bristol Medical Simulation Centre - Thursday 27 February 2020 (9am to 5pm)

  • This free one-day course is designed to cover the essentials to help prepare you for your return to work and improve your confidence.
  • Programme includes: -
    • Obstetrics and gynaecology related topics
    • Presentations and simulation scenarios for acute obstetrics and gynaecology emergencies;
    • What's new O&G over the last 12 months
    • Laparoscopic skills refresher and suturing workshop
    • Hints and tips for returning to work
    • curriculum and eportfolio updates
    • A faculty of senior trainees and consultants will be available and prepared to answer any questions you may have.
  • Suitable for all grades ST1-ST7
  • Location: Bristol Medical Simulation Centre, Level 5, Education Centre, opposite the Bristol Royal Infirmary.
  • This course is offered free of charge. Please note, for planning purposes, any cancellations made within 48 hours before the start of the course will be charged a £50 cancellation fee. This also applies for non-attendance. Please ensure you are able to attend before booking your place.

Returning to training after time out can be challenging.  Return Refreshed is a day to help address some of the issues doctors report.

Anaesthetic Association Core Topics Update - Sandy Park, Exeter - Friday, 1 May 2020 (9am-4.30pm)

  • One day conference - updates on all aspects of anaesthetics for all anaesthetists with a parent and child friendly breakout room linked to the main conference with audio visuals.
