Emma qualified in 2012 at Peninsula Dental School. Her background is as a dental technician and in business. She is passionate about all aspects of restorative dentistry, achieving the highest qualifications in oral surgery and dental implantology through international studies. She is also an associate specialist in restorative dentistry at Torbay Hospital.
Emma is absolutely committed to supporting her colleagues to succeed and previously worked for three years as a clinical supervisor at Peninsula.
Practice Information:
We are a long-established predominately private and Denplan practice with an excellent reputation in the area. There are four beautiful surgeries, all fully computerised with digital radiography, intraoral cameras and patient screens, a cbct scanner and an intraoral scanner. Our highly skilled, experienced and happy team is dedicated to patient care. The FD surgery is ambidextrous and recently fully refurbished with an A-dec chair similar to those used at Peninsula.
Location and Living:
South Devon is a stunning combination of beautiful coastline and rugged moorland. It is popular for watersports, blue flag beaches and offers both quiet country pubs and lively nightlife. The cities of Exeter and Plymouth are a short drive. If you like rugby, Exeter Chiefs is a 25 minute drive from the practice! There are excellent rail and road links. May House is centrally located to local accommodation and services.

Educational Supervisor:
Louise Barlow qualified from Bristol in 1989. She came to Devon to do her VT year before it was compulsory. She enjoyed Devon so much that she hasn’t left. She is a GDP who enjoys all aspects of dentistry and all age groups and has been an ES since 2007. Her interests outside dentistry include walking the dog, going to gigs and spending time with her family.
Practice Information:
The practice is located in a purpose built building, a former health centre. There are 4 modern surgeries with touch screen computer systems, Exact software and internet access. The staff are friendly and highly experienced and include an associate, current FD hygienist and experienced dental nurses. The ES and FD surgeries are next door to each other allowing immediate access for help and or advice when needed. The practice is at the heart of the local community providing a large patient base which allows a whole spectrum of treatment experiences for a wide age range of people.
Location and Living:
Chulmleigh is a town located midway between Exeter and Barnstaple and only 30 minutes’ drive from junction 25 of the M5 motorway. There are a variety of leisure activities within easy access of Chulmleigh. As well as restaurants, pubs and cafes the town has a sports hall with fitness suite, an 18 hole golf course and riding stables. Previous FDs have either rented accommodation in Chulmleigh or chosent to commute from Exeter.

RemikBogdanski qualified from Medical University of Warsaw in 2001. He also has a Master of Science degree in Endodontology from Chester University. He has a special interest in endodontics and restorative dentistry. Outside dentistry he enjoys running and skiing.
Practice Information:
Matford Dental Clinic is situated in Marsh Barton Business Centre in Exeter, 5 minutes’ drive from the town centre. It is a busy and friendly, predominantly NHS practice offering a comprehensive range of treatments. There are 4 surgeries, all air conditioned. A high standard of equipment includes full computerisation, fibre optic handpieces, apex locator and rotary endodontics. Dental microscope will be available in a very close future.
Location and Living:
Exeter is a city brimming with history and heritage, with many visitor attractions. There are direct trains from Exeter to many destinations throughout the UK. Frequent direct services operate from Exeter to London's Paddington and Waterloo stations, as well as to Birmingham and beyond. There are bus connections but own transport will be beneficial, free parking is available.

Educational Supervisor:
Sammy Holt qualified from Cardiff Dental School in 2018. This is his first year as an Educational Supervisor and works at the Peninsula Dental School as a Clinical Supervisor. Sammy is committed to further enhancing his skills and knowledge and is currently in his final year of his MSc in Oral Surgery at the Peninsula Dental School.
Practice Information:
We have a large 8 surgery modern practice providing dental care for the local community. In addition we are a referral centre for a wide range of additional services including implantology, orthodontics, sedation and domiciliary care. The team is fully committed to post-graduate education and considerable support will be given to the trainee in developing their career pathway.
The surgeries are equipped to an extremely high standard, fully computerised and all have digital radiography, a Gendex CBCT scanner and two Trioss Digital scanners.
Location and Living:
Torrington is a small friendly market town in North Devon. It is handy for the coast, being less than half an hour away from the beautiful surfing beaches of the North Devon coast. Inland is the beautiful Devonshire countryside with Dartmoor or Exmoor less than an hour away. Previous FDs have lived in Torrington or opted for one of the larger nearby towns of Bideford or Barnstaple. Public transport is limited so having your own transport is preferable.

Educational Supervisor:
Aidan joined the practice in 1992 as an FD and never left. He has been an associate, a practice owner and an ES with 23 years experience. He is looking forward to the next exciting new chapter as the practice evolves even more.

The practice has 4 surgeries including 2 part time Hygienists. We are a friendly well established practice and are fully computerized and run Software of Excellence in the surgeries. Location and Living:
Exeter is a great place to live. It is a young vibrant city and as it has a university, there are lots of good places to eat and meet friends. It has good rail links and is close to the coast and the moors. Great for off road running, all forms of cycling and all watersports. Home of the Exeter Chiefs and League One football club, great place to watch or join in sports.

Ellie Ley graduated from university of Aberdeen in 2017 and was an FD here at Queen Annes Dental Practice in 2017-2018. She has continued to work at the practice since. She previously worked at a Dental Technician before qualifying as a Dentist. She has extensive experience in treating both NHS & Private patients. In her spare time, she enjoys walking her dog and going to the beach. She is also studying for her Masters in Restorative Dentistry.

We are the longest established practice in the area and are based in the town Centre. We have 8 surgeries and 6 dentists plus an orthodontist and a hygienist/therapist. We have a very friendly dental team and are all willing to help our new graduates that join our team. We undertake all aspects of general dentistry including implants and orthodontics. The FD’s surgeries are modern and fully equipped to a very good standard. The practice is fully computerized and we use exact/ SOE as our dental system. The practice has integrated digital radiography. We have also recently purchased an iTero digital scanner for use in orthodontics and restorative treatment. We treat a broad mix of private/NHS patients.

Bideford is a pretty port and market town 40 miles from Exeter. It is close to the North Devon coast with its surfing beaches and beautiful coastal path. It has all the usual amenities one would expect in a small town. Previous FD’s have preferred to live locally, sometimes with other FD’s from neighboring North Devon training practices.

Educational Supervisor:
Rob Mckenna graduated from Birmingham Dental School in 2009 and was an FD on the Exeter Scheme in 2009. He has worked in the practice since 2011 and has completed his MJDF. He has been an FD trainer for 10 consecutive years.
At weekends he enjoys spending time with his family, fishing/walking/ surfing and paddle boarding and likes skiing holidays. Rob also carries out clear aligner treatment at the practice and has an interest in facial aesthetics including all aspects of general dentistry.

Educational Supervisor:
Robert qualified in 2011 and joined Fairfield house as an FD. Previously he worked for 12 years in military hospitals around the country as an ODP. After his FD year at the practice Robert remained as an associate and became a partner in January 2013. His special interest is endodontics.
Robert’s interests outside of dentistry are sailing, coastal rowing and endurance sports.

We are a progressive developing practice with an extremely friendly and experienced team. Fairfield House has held the BDA Good Practice award for 11 years. Fairfield House has a relaxed atmosphere and as a team we enjoy numerous social events.
The practice has 6 surgeries, the dedicated FD surgery’s is fully equipped and has a right-handed dental chair, digital xray & Niti rotary endodontics and apex location.
We are currently in the process of having an OPG & CBCT machine installed in the practice.
Within the practice we have a hygienist an implant & restorative consultant and an orthodontic specialist.

Exmouth is an attractive seaside town in East Devon, it has 2 miles of sandy beach and offers a wide range of water sports. Exeter is 8 miles away with good road and rail links or for the more energetic the picturesque Exe Estuary cycle path can be used! Rebecca Richardson qualified in London in 2003, Rebecca is a GDP and has a particular interest restorative dentistry and pediatric. Outside of work she enjoys Ballet, walking and spending time with family and friends.
Practice Information: The practice opened in 1980 and relocated to a larger premises in 2000 it is a predominantly NHS practice caring for around 10000 patients. The practice has 4 surgeries and is staffed by an experienced team supporting 4 dentists. The surgeries are well equipped and is fully computerized with digital radiographs.
Location and Living:
Ilfracombe is a small coastal town in North Devon with the beautiful town of woolacombe 5 miles away, this has an award-winning beach with golden sands with good surf. I would recommend having your own transport as the public transport is not reliable. You may choose to live in Ilfracombe, or Braunton and Barnstable are nearby.

Omar Sultan qualified at Birmingham University in 2009.He is a GDP with a particular interest in preventive and restorative dentistry. He has been an undergraduate clinical supervisor for 2 years at Plymouth Dental School. Outside dentistry he enjoys football and motorsport.
Practice Information:
The practice opened in 2007 and is a predominently NHS practice caring for around 4000 patients. The practice has 3 surgeries staffed by an experienced team supporting 1 dentist a dental therapist and a hygienist. The surgeries are well equipped and is fully computerised with digital radioraphs, rotary endo and utilises a digital scanner.
Location and Living:
Salcomve is a pretty market town about 20 miles from Plymouth. There is limited public transport and you may feel that having your own transport is essential. Previous FDs have chosen to live in Totnes or Kingsbridge. Plymouth is possible but can be expensive to travel.

Educational Supervisor:
Sanjay enjoys restorative and aesthetic dentistry and is passionate to transfer skills and techniques in the foundation dentist’s development. He has recently completed the Restorative Dentistry MSc at the University of Plymouth and is an Invisalign Full provider. Sanjay understands the transition from university to foundation training can be daunting, but with his patient and understanding nature, he aims to support his foundation dentist with the aim for them to enjoy and flourish throughout the year. Sanjay has a passion for teaching with a particular focus of practical hands on sessions to facilitate learning.
Practice Information:
Nuvo Dental is a busy mixed practice, with a mixed skill set of clinicians encompassing general restorative, oral surgery, orthodontics and implants. The practice is an Invisalign Platinum provider. The practice uses SOE software and digital x-rays. The practice is well-equipped including rotary endodontics, digital SLR cameras, intraoral cameras, aquacare, facebows and articulator, and iTero intraoral scanner.
You will be working in a caring, positive and friendly environment, and all the nurses are experienced in a wide range of treatments to support you as you make the transition to your new environment. The team at the practice are fantastic at dealing with any questions or problems you have, and because the team is big, you will never feel alone or unsupported during your foundation year.
Location and Living:
Plymouth has the benefit of being next to the coast with easy access to beautiful beaches in South Devon and Cornwall, which have golden sand and crystal-clear water, and many are the perfect surfing location. Plymouth is also next to the beautiful Dartmoor National Park which provides stunning landscapes and scenery for walking and cycling. If the beach or walking are not your thing, you will never be shy of a Cornish pasty or a cream tea to sit and devour! There are good public transport links available.
