Supported Return to Training
It is normal and expected that many trainees will take time out at some point in their training for any number of reasons - in fact, one in ten postgraduate doctors are out of training at any point.
The SuppoRTT is available to many trainees who are absent for a period of three months or more based on the following:
- Parental leave
- OOPC/OOPE/OOPR/OOPT
- Sick leave or carer’s leave
- GMC requirement
- You have been out of training and are commencing a programme in the South West having not worked in the NHS or similar (such as Australia or NZ) in the last 3 months
We offer SuppoRTT before, during and after time out of training.
