About the Devon and Coastal Scheme
The Devon and Coastal scheme has good links with others in the South West region, having shared conferences and study days. The Mercure Rougemont Hotel acts as the main base for the FT year, with hands-on facilities at the Peninsula Dental School and Derriford Hospital being used for our clinical skills courses. Educational Supervisors have a wide range of interests and join our study-days to share experiences with the whole group. We also have a number of experts, both clinical and non-clinical (including a theatre training group) to help prepare you for a successful career after your FT year, wherever that may be.....
The Geography of the South West is very varied, including cities, moorland, coastal paths and beaches. France is easily accessed by ferry, close to the city centre, and there are regular train links to London and the North.
