Educational Supervisor:
Revathi qualified in 2010 from the Tamilnadu Dr. MGR Medical University, India. She has completed MSc in Restorative Dentistry from University College London. She is a GDP since 2016 with a special interest in restorative, orthodontics, and aesthetic dentistry. She enjoys being involved in DFT and supports FDs.
Benedict graduated from Cardiff University in 2019, completing his foundation training in Ringwood prior to relocating to Bournemouth in 2021. Over the past several years Benedict has been involved with assisting Foundation dentists at both practices in an informal capacity but has opted to take a more hands on role moving forwards.
Outside of work Benedict enjoys travel and the outdoors, has a love of live music and a sense of adventure

Located in the centre of Bournemouth, we are a friendly, modern eight-surgery, mixed NHS/Private family practice offering general dentistry, with special interest for aesthetics, oral surgery, implants, orthodontics, and endodontics. 1 FD position is available within the practice, supported by experienced staff, fully computerised with digital radiography. 1-minute walk to town and 10 minutes from the beach.

Educational Supervisor
William graduated in 2010 from Manchester Dental School and relocated to Bournemouth in 2016. He is the principal partner at the practice, which he runs with his partner Clare. They are in the process of developing and modernising the practice. He has previously worked with FDs between 2011 and 2016 and has seen the benefits of being a training practice on the entire dental team.
Practice Information
Knibbs Dental Surgery started out as a single surgery practice in 1976. It is now a 6-surgery practice over 2 sites and is to be extensively refurbished with the addition of a new surgery all on one site this summer. There are currently 6 experienced dentists with 2 hygienists. The practice intends to use the new space to broaden the skill mix by introducing sedation services as well as being joined by a therapist and implantologist.
As the practice is a partnership it can call on the different attributes of the partners, including one partner who is has dual medical and dental qualifications and has recently retired from medicine. He has also worked as a trainer previously.
Location and Living
The practice islocated 2 miles from the center of Bournemouth and serviced by public transport links. Bournemouth is a popular seaside resort and university town, with a vibrant night life. As we are located on the coast and a short drive from the New Forest, there are plenty of activities to suit all interests and lifestyles.

Educational Supervisor: Danielle Caddy graduated from the University of Liverpool with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery with Honours in 2011, having previously gained a BSc and PhD in Microbiology from the University of Southampton.
Danielle previously worked in Liverpool and Coventry before returning home to Bridport where she has been practicing since 2013.
Practice Information: The practice has 6 bright modern surgeries with a central decontamination room. Both general and cosmetic dentistry are offered. Digital x-rays and rotary endodontic equipment are available in each surgery. The practice also has a CBCT scanner with a Ceph arm installed on site. Free Parking is available on site. The practice has a team of 6 clinicians including a hygienist and a implant trained dentist supported by an experienced practice manager, 5 dental nurses and 3 receptionists and a treatment coordinator.
Location and Living: The practice is a short walk from the town of Bridport, which has lots of lovely independent shops, cafes, and restaurants. The town is known for its market which is held twice a week. The beach is a 5-minute drive from the practice so perfect for a lunch break walk. Bridport is located on the spectacular Jurassic coast.

Alastair graduated from Bristol University in 2011. He then spent two years working as an SHO in oral surgery and oral medicine at Bristol Dental Hospital and RUH in Bath. He has an MSc in Dental Implantology and is experienced in oral surgery. He enjoys being involved in DFT and helping his FDs through their first year in practice. The practice ethos is to provide great patient care with an emphasis on prevention and high quality restorative care.
Karan graduated from Queens University Belfast in 2016 and completed his training year on the Salisbury scheme where Judith Denning was his Educational Supervisor. Together Karan and Judith have a joint interest in the management of nervous patients and Karan is in the process of becoming an accredited sedation provider. Karan enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and strives in providing ethical care. Outside of work Karan enjoys travel and culinary exploration.
Practice Information:
The practice was purpose-built in 2010 and has a modern, bright atmosphere. There is ample on-site parking. The practice has 9 surgeries and the experienced nursing team supports 10 dentists and 2 hygienists. The practice also has a private orthodontist, a periodontist and a dentist with a special interest in endodontics. All surgeries are well equipped and fully computerised with digital radiographs. FDs will have a dedicated surgery. We aim to give our FDs the same nurses each week so they can have a consistent and supportive working environment.
Location and Living:
The practice is half a mile from the centre of the beautiful market town of Marlborough. There is limited public transport but good road links. Previous FDs have happily rented in Marlborough or commuted from Reading, Salisbury or Swindon.

Raj and Neal are brothers who both qualified from Cardiff University. Raj has a particular interest in Restorative Dentistry and Orthodontics. He is a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons and the young BDA committee and has recently completed his PG certification in Dental education. Sarum Dental has been established as a Dental Practice for over 30 years. They carried out a full refurbishment that completed in April 2017. Educational Supervisor:
Jane has worked as a GDP since qualifying from Kings College in 1990 and has been an Educational Supervisor since 2009 both at her previous practice in Swindon, where she worked as an associate for over 21 years and now here at Wichelstowe Dental Care. She enjoys treating children but mainly enjoys the mix of treatments found in general practice and uses this experience to supervise Bristol Dental students one day a week on their outreach placement.
Keith has also worked as a GDP for over 30 years since qualifying from Kings in 1990 and has been both a post graduate tutor for the south west dental deanery for over 10 years and taught undergraduate dental students at Bristol Dental school for over 15 years. He enjoys all aspects of dentistry but is particularly good with the elderly population. He is also passionate about Welsh rugby and his beloved Man city football team , whom he started supporting as a child when they hadn’t had so much success.
Practice Information:
The practice was opened as a brand new practice in 2018 by Jane and Keith and has 3 surgeries. It is a mixed NHS and private practice, located in a constantly expanding residential area with plenty of patients of all ages. As you would expect from a modern practice the FDs surgery is air conditioned, fully computerized and equipped with digital radiographs, fibre optics and an ambidextrous dental chair. We have a dedicated decon room, scanner and highly experienced staff, use to supporting FDs. We also have a visiting dentist to do our challenging extractions, a visiting implantologist and hygienist that complete the team.
Location and Living:
The practice is situated in Wichelstowe, a new development south of Swindon town centre and close to the M4. It has been tastefully developed with plenty of open space, lakes and a canal. There is plenty of free street parking in the neighbourhood. It is within walking distance of Old Town, the historical heart of Swindon, and the village of Wroughton on the edge of the Marlborough Downs. Due to Swindon’s location previous FDs have found it an easy commute from Bath, Bristol, Cirencester and Marlborough.

Jonathan Mynors-Wallis qualified at the London (Bart’s) in 1989. He has had 16 foundation dentists and is a general practitioner who enjoys running a busy six-surgery practice with his wife Jayne. Jonathan enjoys dental politics and is on the board of the BDA.
Emma qualified from The University of Manchester in 2011 and is new to FD training. She has since worked in local dental practices and in Poole Hospital before joining Corfe Mullen Dental Practice in 2017. Emma specialises in child and urgent care dentist.
Emma has three daughters and is a keen novice gardener; she enjoys growing vegetables and spending time with her children.

Jonathan and Jayne bought the practice in 2003, it is a mixed practice, with over 15,000 patients. It has six surgeries with 6 dentists and 3 hygienists. All the surgeries have air-conditioning, fully computerised with digital radiographs and rotary endo in every surgery.

Corfe Mullen is about five miles from Wimborne or Poole and a further five miles from Bournemouth, with its university, nightlife, and beaches. Previous FDs have lived in Poole and Bournemouth, and it is a lovely part of the country to invite your friends down for a weekend.

Katie Perkins qualified from Bristol University in 2010 and was awarded the BDA medal for the Bristol division. She did her foundation year at Wylye Valley Dentistry (now Bupa Warminster). After working in private practice in Bath for a few years Katie re-joined Wylye Valley Dentistry as an Associate Dentist. Katie has gained a postgraduate MJDF qualification from the Royal College of Surgeons of England, and has a masters in Advanced General Dental Practice from Birmingham University. She has been a joint educational supervisor since 2016. Katie provides a wide range of dental treatment, including cosmetic treatment and the use of short term orthodontics.
She launched an oral health subscription box in January 2019 to help families create better habits in an attempt to reduce the incidence of childhood caries.
Andrew Morgan qualified at Manchester University in 2009. He will be joining the existing educational supervisor, Katie Davis from 2020. He has worked mainly at Bupa Warminster since qualification. However, during a career break 2016-2018 has worked in multiple NHS practices as a Locum, in between traveling abroad and with a band. He lives in Frome Somerset with his young family, dog, cat and chickens.
Practice Information:
Bupa took over Wylye Valley Dentistry in December 2016. It is a 5 surgery mainly private practice with full time hygienist. The foundation dentist will have access to all the latest equipment and materials. We have rotary endodontics, an endodontic microscope as well as thermal obturation. The practice is fully digital.
Location and Living:
The majority of Foundation Dentists choose to live in Bath, and either commutes via train or drive.
