Adam Blake qualified at Cardiff in 1999. He has been a joint educational supervisor for 17 years, originally on the 2 year GPT scheme linked with Treliske Hospital. He has a particular interest in simple orthodontics, preventative and restorative dentistry. Outside dentistry he enjoys sport, gardening and spending time with his children.
Fergus Gill qualified at Liverpool in 1997. He has been a joint educational supervisor for 15 years. He has a particular interest in paediatric and restorative dentistry. Outside dentistry he enjoys cycling, snowboarding and cooking.
Practice Information:
The practice is one of Truro’s original dental surgeries situated in the heart of the city. Adam and Fergus purchased the practice in 2007 and it now has six surgeries, with a mix of NHS and private patients. The practice is staffed by an experienced team supporting six dentists and two hygienists.The surgeries are well equipped with digital radiography, a separate OPG room and central sterilization.
Location and Living:
Truro is the Cornwall’s capital and has a wealth of local facilities, galleries, bars and restaurants. It has good transport links and is close to the regions famed beaches and water sport locations.

Educational Supervisor:
Rebecca Hammond qualified at Leeds University in 2005. Rebecca has worked in the community, hospital settings and at a secure setting. Rebecca is a GDP with a particular interest in sedation and oral surgery.
In her own time, Rebecca enjoys sea swimming and socialising. .
Practice Information:
The Practice opened in 1972 and was formerly known as Lynbridge House. Dartmoor Dental has an exempt NHS contract as well as seeing patients on a private fee basis. The Practice has 8 surgeries, that have nearly all been refitted with brand new equipment, a brand newstate of the art decontamination room and in the basement, we have a laboratory technician.
We have 10 clinicians, including 6 dentists, 2 hygienists and a therapist. We also have an implantologist, along with Dr Pradyna Apte BDS who is a dentist and a Harley-street trained aesthetics practitioner.

Tavistock is an ancient stannary and market town within West Devon, England and is the home of cream tea. It is situated on the River Tavy and has direct access to Dartmoor, which is fantastic for walking, cycling or riding. Tavistock is a friendly and thriving local town, that hosts many independent shops and quirky cafés – Tavistock was once awarded
National cycle route 27, Drakes Trail and the West Devon Way to Plymouth are all easily accessible from the town centre and Plymouth is just a 35 minute drive away.

Educational Supervisor:
Isaac studied dentistry at Queen Mary and Westfield college in the east end of London qualifying in 2006. He has worked in general dentistry since and has a particular interest in implants and smile design. He began placing implants in 2010 and is delighted with the difference these treatments can make to patients lives. He is also a registered Invisalign and Somnowell practitioner. Isaac regularly attends courses to both expand his skills and keep up to date with the latest in dentistry. He is happily married, has 6 children and enjoys Paddleboarding.

Smile Dental Care is an experienced practice, established in 1993 as a group. They are keen to invest in the future of dentistry and encourage the use of latest technologies/materials. The practice has 5 surgeries with a great team of dentists, dental nurses and a hygienist. Educational Supervisors
Anna graduated from Cardiff University in 2007 and is the Principal Dentist at The Treatment Centre. Anna holds a teaching post at the Peninsula Dental School and has gained a Certificate in Education, an MSc in Restorative Dentistry and is an Invisalign Provider.
Sue qualified at Birmingham University in 1990 and entered general practice in Cornwall. She has been an associate at The Treatment Centre since 2010 and has been appointed joint Educational Supervisor with Anna since September 2016.

The Treatment Centre is a second generation, family run, independent, highly supportive and forward thinking five surgery dental practice. It is a member of the BDA Good Practice Scheme. Built in 2008, the practice has been purposely designed and was the finalist in the WOW practice design award. We have invested in a CBCT and ITERO scanner to provide a digital work flow where possible.

We are located in the very hub of Truro, just off the main piazza shopping square, with many nearby delis to get a nice lunch from. Truro is Cornwall’s county town, sole city and is on the main train line. Ross MacRae qualified at Glasgow in 1983. He has been an educational supervisor since 2011. Ross has a particular interest in FD and DCP training and lectures to various Southwest dental groups. Outside of dentistry Ross is the Secretary of the Padstow Rotary Club, enjoys photography and walking his Springer Spaniel.

Gentle Dental is a seaside dental Practice located in Newquay, Cornwall. This busy and growing seaside town has a thriving selection of bars, restaurants and night-time activities for the young Practitioner.

Tom Wagg qualified from Sheffield university and moved to Cornwall to live by the sea. He enjoys general practice, providing a wide range of treatment to children and adults, ranging from minor oral surgery to minimally invasive and adhesive approaches. Outside work Tom loves spending time surfing with his children, and volunteers with the local coastguard rescue team.

St Agnes dental practice is a modern, popular general dental practice. Our principal Jenna Murgatroyd is chair of the LDC and a supervisor at the peninsula dental school. The team of experienced and friendly staff supports five dentists and one hygienist. We are very proud to be the only NHS general practice to currently hold a Green Impact Dentistry gold award.

St.Agnes, a pretty village on the north coast of Cornwall near Truro famous for its history of tin mining and its world class surfing. Educational Supervisor:
Sacha Young qualified from Guy’s in 1994 and has enjoyed being an ES for 13 years. She particularly likes being a general practitioner seeing a wide variety of patients, managing her practice and has a Diploma in Management. Until recently Sacha was a clinical supervisor at the Peninsula Dental School and worked in Derriford Hospital as a restorative clinical assistant. Outside of dentistry Sacha is a keen cook, gardener and would never be without her four dogs.
Practice Information:
The practice was established in 1968 by Sacha’s parents. Sacha bought the practice in 2006 and since then has grown it into an nine-chair NHS practice caring for a wide variety of patients; the practice is never short of work. We have a very close-knit team and the practice still retains its friendly family atmosphere. Sacha is proud to give her FD the opportunity and freedom to develop within a supportive environment. During the time Sacha has had the practice she has refurbished it throughout. The FD surgery is right handed only and has up to date equipment.
Location and Living:
The practice is situated in the heart of the city centre of Plymouth close to the university. There are good public transport links however a car is useful if you wish to take in Dartmoor National Park, which is on our doorstep. We are very spoilt with the variety of water sports on offer being a costal naval town and we even have a ski slope. Plymouth is a vibrant university town and accommodation is no problem.
