Educational Supervisor:
Benedict graduated from Cardiff University in 2019, completing his foundation training in Ringwood prior to relocating to Bournemouth in 2021. Over the past several years Benedict has been involved with assisting Foundation dentists at both practices in an informal capacity but has opted to take a more hands on role moving forwards.
Outside of work Benedict enjoys travel and the outdoors, has a love of live music and a sense of adventure

Located in the centre of Bournemouth, we are a friendly, modern eight-surgery, mixed NHS/Private family practice offering general dentistry, with special interest for aesthetics, oral surgery, implants, orthodontics, and endodontics. 1 FD position is available within the practice, supported by experienced staff, fully computerised with digital radiography. 1-minute walk to town and 10 minutes from the beach.

Bournemouth is a popular seaside town boasting the benefits of a lively, vibrant nightlife as well as its scenic beach and coastal regions. An ideal area for those keen on water sports or those who enjoy the beach life. Public transportation runs 24 hours a day with direct trains to Southampton & London. Dr Baphelile Masango Qualified at BDS MEDUNSA IN 2000. She has been at Smile dental care for 6 years. She is a GDP with a particular interest in preventive and Restorative dentistry. Outside of dentistry she enjoys Travelling, cooking, gardening and spending time with family. Baphelile has a kind and caring outlook on life which also reflects in her dentistry.

The Practice opened in 2006 and is a predominantly NHS practice caring for around 10000 patients. The Practice currently has 4 fully equipped surgeries also with digital radiographs. The practice is well staffed by an experienced team who support two Dentists, a part time Hygienist and Part time Dental Therapist.
Location and living:
Sturminster Newton is a beautiful picturesque town with a real village feel. We are 20 minutes from Blandford forum, Gillingham, 40 minutes from Yeovil, Dorchester and roughly 1hour from Bournemouth/Poole. There is limited public transport so you may feel that having your own transport is essential. Rental properties however are considerably cheaper than living in a big town.

Educational Supervisor:
Alastair graduated from Bristol University in 2011. He then spent two years working as an SHO in oral surgery and oral medicine at Bristol Dental Hospital and RUH in Bath. He has an MSc in Dental Implantology and is experienced in oral surgery. He enjoys being involved in DFT and helping his FDs through their first year in practice. The practice ethos is to provide great patient care with an emphasis on prevention and high quality restorative care.
Karan graduated from Queens University Belfast in 2016 and completed his training year on the Salisbury scheme where Judith Denning was his Educational Supervisor. Together Karan and Judith have a joint interest in the management of nervous patients and Karan is in the process of becoming an accredited sedation provider. Karan enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and strives in providing ethical care. Outside of work Karan enjoys travel and culinary exploration.

The practice was purpose-built in 2010 and has a modern, bright atmosphere. There is ample on-site parking. The practice has 9 surgeries and the experienced nursing team supports 10 dentists and 2 hygienists. The practice also has a private orthodontist, a periodontist and a dentist with a special interest in endodontics. All surgeries are well equipped and fully computerised with digital radiographs. FDs will have a dedicated surgery. We aim to give our FDs the same nurses each week so they can have a consistent and supportive working environment.
Location and Living:
The practice is half a mile from the centre of the beautiful market town of Marlborough. There is limited public transport but good road links. Previous FDs have happily rented in Marlborough or commuted from Reading, Salisbury or Swindon.

Educational Supervisor:
Jane has worked as a GDP since qualifying from Kings College in 1990 and has been an Educational Supervisor since 2009 both at her previous practice in Swindon, where she worked as an associate for over 21 years and now here at Wichelstowe Dental Care. She enjoys treating children but mainly enjoys the mix of treatments found in general practice and uses this experience to supervise Bristol Dental students one day a week on their outreach placement.
Keith has also worked as a GDP for over 30 years since qualifying from Kings in 1990 and has been both a post graduate tutor for the south west dental deanery for over 10 years and taught undergraduate dental students at Bristol Dental school for over 15 years. He enjoys all aspects of dentistry but is particularly good with the elderly population. He is also passionate about Welsh rugby and his beloved Man city football team , whom he started supporting as a child when they hadn’t had so much success.

The practice was opened as a brand new practice in 2018 by Jane and Keith and has 3 surgeries. It is a mixed NHS and private practice, located in a constantly expanding residential area with plenty of patients of all ages. As you would expect from a modern practice the FDs surgery is air conditioned, fully computerized and equipped with digital radiographs, fibre optics and an ambidextrous dental chair. We have a dedicated decon room, scanner and highly experienced staff, use to supporting FDs. We also have a visiting dentist to do our challenging extractions, a visiting implantologist and hygienist that complete the team.
Location and Living:
The practice is situated in Wichelstowe, a new development south of Swindon town centre and close to the M4. It has been tastefully developed with plenty of open space, lakes and a canal. There is plenty of free street parking in the neighbourhood. It is within walking distance of Old Town, the historical heart of Swindon, and the village of Wroughton on the edge of the Marlborough Downs. Due to Swindon’s location previous FDs have found it an easy commute from Bath, Bristol, Cirencester and Marlborough.

Wincanton is a rural town with excellent road links just off the A303. It makes London a 2 hour road trip, with Bath and Bristol just 50 mins away. They are commutable but this will add to your working day. It has close rail links, but ideally your own transport is recommended.
